Service Description
Get into the Halloween spirit with this adorable Beginner Ghostly Zipper Bag Workshop! In this class, you’ll create your own fully finished zipper bag featuring a fun ghost design while learning beginner-friendly techniques for fabric flipping, topstitching, and zipper installation. This project is a great way to build your sewing confidence while learning new techniques that you can use in all kinds of future sewing projects. During this workshop, you’ll learn how to: 👻 Layer, stitch, and flip fabric to create the ghost design ✂️ Accurately position and assemble your fabric pieces 〰️ Sew and navigate curves around the ghost shape ✨ Topstitch around your design for a clean, finished look 🤐 Install a zipper and learn how to sew neatly around it 📏 Properly layer, pin/clip, and assemble your zipper bag 🔄 Turn, shape, and finish your project for a clean, professional look This workshop is beginner friendly! You should have a basic understanding of how to operate a sewing machine, but we’ll guide you through the project step by step. 🎃 All fabric, zipper, and supplies are included. Cancellation Policy
- All class registrations are subject to the following policy: • Cancellations made 6 days or more before the workshop will receive a 50% refund. • Cancellations made less than 5 days before the scheduled class are non-refundable. • Missed classes, late arrivals, or early departures are not eligible for refunds or credits unless otherwise stated by The Sewing Machine Doctors. Other Policies: - Parking for sewing classes is available ONLY on 12th Street. Parking is NOT permitted in the driveway, across the street in the apartment parking area, or in the neighboring business center parking lot. Participants are responsible for following these parking requirements and applicable parking regulations. - For the safety and cleanliness of the classroom, all participants must bring and wear clean indoor shoes/hard sole slippers. Outdoor footwear and bear/socked feet are not permitted inside. Participants who arrive without appropriate indoor shoes may be refused entry without a refund. - If you are bringing your own sewing machine, it must be in good working order, recently serviced or otherwise confirmed to be operating properly, and tested before arriving to class. The instructor is not responsible for troubleshooting or repairing personal sewing machines during class time. If your machine is not suitable for the class or becomes inoperable, you will be required to rent a classroom sewing machine (if available) or you may be unable to participate. Regular class fees still apply.
