Create your own beautiful and functional vinyl wallet while learning techniques for working with vinyl, layering, card slots, and topstitching! This workshop is perfect for sewists who are ready to build their skills while creating a stylish project you'll actually use. During this workshop, you'll learn: 💜 How to confidently sew and work with vinyl 💳 How to create and assemble multiple card slots 🪡 Techniques for sewing through multiple layers ✨ How to achieve clean, professional-looking topstitching 📏 How to keep layers aligned for a neat finished project 👛 How to assemble and finish your wallet from start to finish 💡 Helpful vinyl sewing techniques you can use for future wallets, bags, and accessories This project is perfect for sewists who have sewing machine knowledge and are ready to try working with vinyl. No previous experience sewing vinyl or making wallets is required—we'll guide you through the entire process, step by step. ✨ Sewing experience is required. Participants should know how to thread a sewing machine, wind a bobbin, sew straight stitches and confidence use a sewing machine. If you're brand new to sewing, we recommend taking our Welcome to Sewing: Beginner 101 Workshop or other beginner-friendly workshops. Class Length: 2 Hours Machine Options: Bring your own sewing machine or use one of ours for free! What you'll need to bring: Your sewing machine in good working order (serviced within the year) A pair of indoor shoes or hard sole slippers that fully cover your feet (no outdoor shoes, sandals, or bare/sock feet) All materials and supplies are included in this workshop. We will have different vinyl patterns to choose from! Leave with your own handmade vinyl wallet, new sewing skills, and the confidence to use vinyl in future projects! 🧵

Cancellation Policy
- All class registrations are subject to the following policy: • Cancellations made 6 days or more before the workshop will receive a 50% refund. • Cancellations made less than 5 days before the scheduled class are non-refundable. • Missed classes, late arrivals, or early departures are not eligible for refunds or credits unless otherwise stated by The Sewing Machine Doctors. Other Policies: - Parking for sewing classes is available ONLY on 12th Street. Parking is NOT permitted in the driveway, across the street in the apartment parking area, or in the neighboring business center parking lot. Participants are responsible for following these parking requirements and applicable parking regulations. - For the safety and cleanliness of the classroom, all participants must bring and wear clean indoor shoes/hard sole slippers. Outdoor footwear and bear/socked feet are not permitted inside. Participants who arrive without appropriate indoor shoes may be refused entry without a refund. - If you are bringing your own sewing machine, it must be in good working order, recently serviced or otherwise confirmed to be operating properly, and tested before arriving to class. The instructor is not responsible for troubleshooting or repairing personal sewing machines during class time. If your machine is not suitable for the class or becomes inoperable, you will be required to rent a classroom sewing machine (if available) or you may be unable to participate. Regular class fees still apply.
